My Birthday Wish

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a mom. A feeling that a lot of women want to have, and get to have. A feeling that some women, unfortunately never get to have. I was afraid that I would be one of those women, dealing with infertility for over 5 years. But this year for my 32nd birthday, I spent it with my beautiful little boy. He is such a miracle for me and I really couldn't have asked for a better birthday. He even let me sneak one, perfect photo of him on my birthday in his pjs. You can't get much cuter than this. So even though this birthday was spent alone and eating Spaghettio's, I did get to spend an hour playing with my miracle, whom I worked very hard to get. I do thank God very much for the privilege. So happy birthday to me!

Caden turns 9 months

Today was Caden's 9 month birthday and Haylee's 6 year old birthday party. So here is a photo of Haylee, Tre, Caden and Brayden (the little boy that Chris watches everyday). Everyone is growing up too fast!

Greek Festival 2009

Last weekend, our favorite festival of the year was on. The Greek festival! And this year, we got to take Caden. So he got to experience his first gyro, first honey ball and first greek cultural dance. He loved the food and had a good time. And Chris and I always have a good time.

Brushin', brushin', brushin!

So I'm behind on blogging Caden. Last week, we started brushing! Now that Caden has 4 official teeth, I thought it was time. So... the big news is, he loves it! It is the highlight of his day. Not sure if it is the taste of the toothpaste or the feeling of the tooth brush, but he loves it. Here is a couple of pictures of the from the very first time.

Caden found the stairs

This past weekend Caden found the stairs and he didn't just find one or two stairs. He found the whole flight. Several times!!!!

The story goes that he saw Ritty run up the stairs after Chris. And then he saw Chris. And of course Chris egged him on. So he took off or up after him. Once he started he didn't stop or look back. Up all the way he went. And he loved being so high!

My 8 month old Monkey!

Well, it is official. Caden turned 8 months today. I tear up when I think about it. My gosh, it seems like yesterday when I think back to holding that little bundle. He barley moved and I had to wake him up to eat. Now he never sits still and won't stop eating.

Some new occurrences with Caden:

• 2 new teeth
• he found his right thumb, for sucking (great, not thrilled with that)
• he is riding in his big boy car seat
• he crawls, stands up, pulls up and jumps around constantly
• very, very close to walking
• sings, talks and screams at the most importune times
• loves to eat, especially sweet potatoes and cheerios
